Bullying & Harassment

Bullying is defined as "any intentional act by a student or groups of students directed against another student to ridicule, humiliate, or intimidate the other student while on school ground, or at a school sponsored activity, which acts are repeated against the same student over time".  This definition is included in the Logan County Schools Board Policy (09.422).  Likewise, the Student Behavior & Discipline policies outlined in the Student Handbook (Chapter 2) includes any intentional written, verbal, or physical act that would physically harm a student or interfere with a student's education.  Therefore, Logan County Schools will not tolerate discriminatory harassment or bullying of students on the basis of gender, race/color/national origin, or disability.

Our District Code of Acceptable Behavior and Discipline clearly outlines disciplinary responses for bullying and/or harassment, which include but not limited to in-school or out-of-school suspensions or a referral to the Logan County Alternative School.

Essentially, bullying/harassment are not tolerated at any level, against students or school personnel.  Please refer to the documents at the right for Logan County policies regarding bullying and/or harassment.
