Members of the Logan County High School DECA Club attended and participated in their state conference, held at Louisville on 1-3 March. At the conference, students took tests and made content specific presentations. Several students were asked to return for second interviews and presentations. LCHS DECA sponsor, Amy Wisdom noted, “Students were really challenged this year on their presentations; I’m very proud of these guys for their hard work.”
Competition results are as follows: Evan Dana- 1st KY Hospitality and Tourism; Erin Hochstetler- KY Finance Cluster; Wilson Bogess- 2nd KY Sports Marketing; Jenna Coles- 2nd Restaurant and Food Services Marketing; Madison Kempf- 2nd KY Finance; CJ Raymer- 3rd Professional Financial Literacy; Cristin Nash- 4th KY Hospitality Cluster; Ka’lin Clark- 4th KY Marketing Cluster; Cole Crawford- 5th Professional Selling; Chelsea Sigers- 5th Principals of Hospitality; McKenzie Kempf- 6th Hotel and Lodging Management; and Caitlyn Mosley- 6th KY Marketing.
In addition to the competition category winners listed above, Cole Baker was named Outstanding DECA Member; Jenna Coles and CJ Raymer qualified for the International Career Development Conference.
